Full Output Sealed Lead Acid Systems

Mackwell offer Emergency Lighting provision from 12 volt Tungsten Halogen lamps, from 10 to 50 watts, using Sealed Lead Acid cells. For more information on Nickel Cadmium types, see our leaflet MW126 for 12 volt module S500.

Sealed Lead Acid Types

Maintained or Non-Maintained

Mounted in a box offering provision for maintained or non maintained emergency lighting, housing the sealed lead acid battery or batteries, and control circuitry. Fused terminals are provided for 240 V ac input and 12 V dc output. The 50 watt units are supplied in box type B, of galvanised steel construction, with internal key hole slots for fixing.

A maintaining relay is provided so that the unit can be used in either maintained or non-maintained mode. When used in non-maintained mode, the transformer is not supplied.

Maintained Mode

The enclosure is of sufficient size to house a 240V/12V wire wound or Electronic Dimmable Transformer (EDT) which provides the maintaining facility, (runs the lamp/s at normal times) for 20 to 50 watts. Dimmers should be of the “hard fired” type. The Mackwell control module complies fully with emergency lighting standards requirements.

AutoTest

The LV1250 units can be supplied in AutoTest form if required. This unique feature in SLA units enables the emergency lighting to be tested regularly fully automatically. Healthy or faulty indications are through the LED, which will be supplied green for AutoTest versions, and as required for standard versions, red or green.
